I try to explain

I use an example that my maths teacher told us
To illustrate the way that I feel
He taught us a trick with a strip of paper
In a single quick flip of the wrist and a twist
He switched an ordinary cyclic band
From paper into scientific experiment
A continuous loop with neither beginning nor end
