When you have nothing more to say

Come find me
On the cliff edge,
By the alder tree.
Look for me
Down the pathway
That we used to take.
Walk slowly
Watch the stones fall away,
As your feet stir them up.
It’s the one on the left
Follow it so far
Until when you glance up
You can see
Our old house.
I will wait there
Come stand by me.

Collect your ideas and words
Before you set off
I’m not ready to talk anymore
I’ve exhausted mine.
All the vowels and syllables are merged
And I have nothing more to say
I’m on that cliff top
I’ve cried, cursed and now I’ve emerged.
I have nothing more to say.
