Trapped

With no old routines left
to slip into
you are a displaced person
unmotivated,
lost
in a foreign land
having misplaced your directions
you
stumble in circles,
the sense to make sense
of the unfamiliar territory
falters
the world
becomes a vast unknown,
unmapped
geography of place names,
where you wander
around and about
there exist exits,
ways out,
means to escape
however, they aren’t
illuminated.
