That spring sunshine
That beguiles and lies
Makes you step out
Forget yourself, cast a clout
Now you shiver and he smiles
That bud of blossom
That frosts the edge
Of trees and lines
The road with petals, signs
Of nests in bush and hedge
That new born foal
That tucks at mother’s feet
Legs not yet set
Still unsure. And then we met
His smile, the sun, as we greet
